Chicago! We spent about 3 weeks in Chicago in July for work. This is the day we spent in the city. We did a boat tour and saw the canal, the acrhitecture, and Lake Michigan. It is an absolutely beautiful city. It's not like big city....yuck and dirty and loud. It's like ohh ahhh big city, clean and pretty.
We may get to go back to finish this job in January. We are excited.
Abigail as happy as ever...even in 100 degree weather. This here is the Sears Tower. I know its sideways...sorry...too lazy to go back and change it.
We went through a huge Locke to get to the lake from the canal. They close everyone in and then open the door to the Lake to let the water in very slowly. Its pretty genious.
View of City from the lake. Chicago is famous for its diverse and beautiful architecture. The sky line is one of the greatest features of this city.
On the boat
After our tour we got some super fantastic tasting Chicago Stuffed Pizza!!! It was the best pizza I've ever had, with REAL mozzarella cheese that was almost too stringy to eat. YuM!
And here we are back at home in the hotel. Abbi went to sleep for a nap and woke up with a huge hand print (fingernails and all) implanted in her cheek. It was so cute, and we laughed about it for a while. She was as happy as could be though, she did not care one bit. sorry its kinda hard to see.
Abigail says "Goodbye Chicago!!" She was so good in her seat for 3 days straight all the way back to Idaho. We surprised Eli's family by showing up out of the blue. (We kinda purposely forgot to tell them)His mom and sister ended up in tears because they were so excited to see us and finally really meet Abigail. It was memorable!
You should surprise us too and drive out to St. Louis haha! Shea will be in Chicago for a week in March so if you guys are out there I might come too and play. Abbi is one now? I miss you guys!
